Compared to the DOG GPS X30 series, this device does not connect to a mobile phone or tablet. Paired devices cannot be displayed on a map using the Dogtrace GPS app.

The kit consists of a transmitter that is placed on the dog's collar and a receiver (controller - handheld device) on which the handler tracks the distance and direction to the dog's location.
